About ArcheAge World
ArcheAge World is an independent, unofficial fan site for ArcheAge Chronicles, the online action RPG XLGAMES is developing in the ArcheAge universe. The game is set in Auroria about 50 years after the original ArcheAge and is built around weapon-based action combat, open-world exploration, and the return of lifeskills, housing and trade runs.

What is ArcheAge Chronicles?
An online action RPG from XLGAMES, set in Auroria roughly 50 years after the original ArcheAge. The studio stresses that it is not ArcheAge 2 or a traditional MMORPG: the world is shared and there will be guilds and 20-player raids, but the story and dungeons can be played solo or in a group.
Is ArcheAge Chronicles out yet? What is the release date?
Not yet, and there is no official date. XLGAMES plans to open Early Access on Steam “later this year”, according to executive producer Ham’s letter of 15 September 2026, and says it will share the date and price when ready. Our release date article has the full picture.
Which platforms will it be on?
It was announced in 2024 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and it can already be wishlisted on Steam, the PlayStation Store and the Xbox store. The Early Access announced so far is on Steam; no date has been given for consoles.
Will it be free-to-play?
No. In the producer’s July 2026 Q&A, XLGAMES said the game will be buy-to-play, with cosmetic-only item sales, and that it has no plans for pay-to-win. The price has not been announced yet.
Is this an official site?
